The Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area – a sprawling 326-acre oasis in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – stands as a testament to the visionary Richard St. Barbe Baker. It’s a lush haven that embodies his commitment to environmental preservation. George Genereux Urban Regional Park, once barren land, has blossomed into a thriving green space spanning nearly 148 acres. These two remarkable ecosystems are sanctuaries for local wildlife, nurturing biodiversity, and enhancing air quality for the surrounding communities. Our afforestation initiatives, such as the Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area and George Genereux Urban Regional Park, are vital steps toward planting trees, restoring ecosystems, and combating climate change. Skills Required | Our meetings are held virtually, access to zoom is necessary. We can provide training. A bookkeeper’s duties include: Basic data entry. Bookkeepers record all of the expenses, donations, transactions, and other financial data in an organized software solution or spreadsheet. Recording one side of a transaction. For example, a bookkeeper will pay bills for the necessary operational expenses. Writing checks and making deposits. Nonprofit bookkeepers handle general payments and deposits. Then, they record this data in the organization’s chart of accounts. Allocating costs. Nonprofit bookkeepers must make the necessary allocations to keep expenses organized. For instance, bookkeepers may allocate costs by program, administrative, and fundraising. |
