Job Description | HYBRID OPPORTUNITY – Virtual and/or in person. Are you ready to make a difference while enjoying the great outdoors? We’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join us for an unforgettable celebration at George Genereux Urban Regional Park! Here’s your chance to contribute to a meaningful cause and be a part of something truly special. We are celebrating in person SUNDAY 02-06-2024 at George Generuex Urban Regional Park 14:00-16:00 We need virtual volunteers to help make connections with groups and individuals for this event! Great Outdoors Month Discover the Great Outdoors: A Celebration of Triumph and Unity National Cancer Survivors Day first Sunday in and Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) Awareness Week YouTube VIRTUAL Skills Needed: Social Media Savvy: Spread the word and engage with our online community through creative posts and updates. Email Outreach: Connect with advocacy groups, organizations, businesses, and individuals to encourage participation in our event and the ParticipACTION Community Challenge. Groups who register are eligible for weekly prizes! The first is the early bird prize for those groups registering in May! Help us get the word out! Let’s make a difference together in the City of Saskatoon! 🌳🎉 About the ParticipACTION Community Challenge presented by Novo Nordisk The Community Challenge is a national physical activity and sport initiative that encourages everyone in Canada to get active throughout June in search of Canada’s Most Active Community. The challenge is open to all communities and individuals, ultimately recognizing Canada’s Most Active Community (help us to recognize Saskatoon) and awarding it with $100,000 to support local physical activity and sport initiatives. In addition to the national winner, there is also a prize for the most active community in each province and territory as well as weekly organization prizing to be awarded throughout June. Celebrate the life in nature and all its biodiversity, and relish health and wellness with amazing activity.
