Job Description

Prairie Hospice provides free, non-medical care to palliative clients. Volunteers offer companionship to clients, support a variety of activities to assist them in their end of life journey, provide rides to and from appointments, or to offer respite care for caregivers. The goal is to help people live more fully and stay in their homes longer.

Prairie Hospice Society is a non-profit organization striving to meet the huge need for hospice care in Saskatoon. Volunteers are trained to provide compassionate client and family-centered care for those facing advanced illness, death and bereavement. The support is provided where ever the client calls home, offering free “hospice without walls” service.

Volunteers receive comprehensive training before being matched with a client.
