Saskatoon Sexual Health’s Board of Directors is Recruiting
We’re looking for dedicated, organized, and self-motivated individuals who are committed to supporting the pro-choice, sexpositive mandate of our organization. The Board of Directors is responsible for oversight and stewardship, ensuring that the organization fulfills its mission. We are currently recruiting several board members.

Our mission: We provide sexual and reproductive health services in Saskatoon and area with an emphasis on safe, inclusive,
empowering clinical care and education. We advocate for change within our own organization and the larger community,
working with diverse communities to promote healthy and informed sexualities.

Our vision: A society where sexual and reproductive health and rights are respected, celebrated, and accessible to all.

Typical roles and responsibilities of a board member:
● Work collaboratively with the Executive Director to oversee the strategic direction of the organization
● Attend board meetings once per month (usually the first Monday of the month)
● Join one or more board committees: finance, governance and policy, and fundraising
● Support and participate in fundraising initiatives
● Understand and oversee the budget
● Make recommendations to the board on policies, priorities, and actions
● Represent and promote the organization at community events
● Take part in educational, orientation and board development activities
● Help evaluate and develop the long-term success of the organization

We’re looking for new members with skills and expertise in the following areas:
● Human Resources
● Fundraising and/or fund development
● Financial/accounting knowledge
● Legal
● Public/government relations
● Past board experience (preferred)
