Position Title Warm Hearts – Jacket Mending/Sewing
Job Description

We collect winter jackets that need to be fixed, and need volunteers that can mend them at home on their own time before donating to local organizations.

Warm Hearts is also available in Regina and Moose Jaw. If you know anyone in those communities who could volunteer please have them email Meg at meg@swrc.ca

*We have a small fund to provide replacement zippers if you can’t supply them.

Skills Required Experienced sewists who can repair or replace zippers are needed as most jackets have a broken zipper. We are also looking for people that can repair holes or buttons etc. Not all jackets that need repairs have a broken zipper.
Benefits to Volunteer You would be diverting mendable jackets from landfill and helping to keep people warm during winter. Be part of a program that has repaired almost 400 jackets in Saskatchewan in two years!
