Each Wish Team consists of two Wish Granter Assistants that are matched with one
wish child at a time. The time required to help grant a wish varies greatly on the
nature of the wish and on your efforts to enhance the wish to be sure it is as magical
as possible. Some wishes may take a few months, while others can take up to a year.
Wish Granter Assistants are expected to contact their wish child regularly during
their wish experience and average around 20-30 volunteer hours a month. A large
amount of volunteer work for this position can be done from home.
EXAMPLES OF COMMON WISHES INCLUDE:
Disney Wishes: shopping for, wrapping and planning the delivery of wish
enhancements such as sunscreen, airplane games, colouring books, books, luggage,
or other treats. Your delivery may include pizza, cake, balloons and more.
Shopping Spree: Shopping sprees will require that you accompany the child and
their family for a full day of shopping!
Computer Wishes: These can be enhanced with such things as special software,
desk and chair or desk accessories, installing the computer, assembling the desk and
chair, and decorating the room to make the delivery day a magical one.
