Position Title Youth Volunteer! – Join our New Majority Youth Activation Team
Job Description

In the 2021 federal election, only 47% of eligible folks aged 18-24 voted, compared to 75% of folks aged 65-74. when we don’t vote, important decisions get made without us.

The Saskatchewan Provincial Election is happening in October— and we’re getting ready to get on the ground and make voting fun and easy so together, we can SMASH youth voter records! 💪💥

What Will I Work On?

🙌 We’re building a volunteer team to lead community outreach, run local events, and help other young people to get out and vote.

On top of this, volunteers will have the opportunity take the lead on media interviews, team-building & planning fun activations to get other young people hyped about these elections. Alongside gaining competitive and transferable job skills, team members will connect with incredible young people in throughout Saskatchewan & have the opportunity to make a big impact in shaping our country’s future!

Skills Required ❓No previous experience in politics? No problem. SO many of our volunteers have no experience or desire to work in politics. That's what makes us special. We are real young people who represent the majority of this country. Our experienced trainers are here to support you and help you shine in this role, every step of the way.
Benefits to Volunteer Volunteers with New Majority have gone on to lead campaigns, serve on national boards, give international media interviews and a lot more. The best part is: you don't have to be a poli-sci major to find real value in working with young people on democracy. Practical experience with marketing, media, facilitation, team-building, project management & more comes with the role.
