Canadian Labour Congress renews national partnership with United Way Centraide Canada

UWCC and labour have a long-standing relationship with the first formal national agreement signed in 1988.
Labour has played an integral role in United Ways across the country with many Labour Councils and unions founding or co-founding their local organization.
In 2025, United Way Saskatoon and Area and the Saskatoon & District Labour Council will be celebrating 30 years of our formal partnership.
Catherine Shore named this year's W. A. Milne Award recipient
In August, we hosted our 65th Annual General Meeting. It was a great time to reflect on the past year and celebrate some special people, including this year’s W.A. Milne Award recipient, Catherine Shore.
The W.A. Milne Award was created in 1973 to honor those who show outstanding volunteer achievement, just as W.A. Milne did during his time with us.
Catherine joined United Way as a Campaign Representative in 2022 and has since been an exceptional ambassador, leading and inspiring others at every opportunity.
Congratulations to Catherine for this well-deserved award and thank you for being a critical part of United Way!
