2019 Loaned Reps

United Way’s Loaned Representative (Loaned Rep) program offers a unique professional, personal and community development experience for an exceptional employee in your workplace. Loaned Reps are sponsored by their employer to work at United Way for a 15-week period. These individuals play an integral role in ensuring United Way workplace fundraising campaigns result in the greatest impact for our community.

United Way’s workplace fundraising campaigns are a major source of revenue and are a critical component in our ability to address the root causes of the complex issues that face our community.

This year three Loaned Reps joined us from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada Revenue Agency, and Correctional Services Canada.

What are you looking forward to the most about working with United Way?

I am excited to be part of a great team all engaged in making this year’s campaign a success. I am looking forward to working with ECCs and their campaigns and listening to all the wonderful speakers from the community I live in.

What is one thing you have learned about United Way during your first week, that you didn’t know before?

I have learned lots but I think that the 211 Saskatchewan was one of the ‘Best Kept Secrets’ cause I never came across the program in my personal or professional life before hearing about it from Jared. And another thing that I learned, is that the Saskatoon United Way has some of the most dedicated and welcoming staff ever (I suspected this but now I have seen it).

What are you looking forward to the most about working with United Way?

Community involvement!

What is one thing you have learned about United Way during your first week, that you didn’t know before?

The scope of support they provide for programs assisting vulnerable individuals in our community.
