Job Description

SaskAbilities welcomes you to join us as a volunteer in our Recipe for Success Program!

Recipe for Success supports adults experiencing disabilities in learning and enjoying the art of cooking. The program combines fun, hands-on cooking classes and food-based activities with take-home recipes, easy-to-understand nutrition information, group exercise, and shared meals.

Volunteers play an important role in fostering inclusion, confidence, and life skills through shared cooking experiences.

Working with our Recipe for Success Coordinator, volunteer responsibilities include:
• Assisting participants with meal preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Promoting kitchen safety and encouraging independence
• Supporting a positive, social, and engaging group environment
• Helping with setup and cleanup as needed

Program Hours:

Recipe for Success runs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 6:30pm (October to September).

Time Commitment:

Flexible scheduling with no minimum hours required. Volunteers are welcome to join sessions that fit their availability.

Important Notes:
Transportation is the responsibility of the volunteer.
You will receive an Orientation in advance of volunteering!
You will be provided paperwork to review, complete and submit in advance of your orientation and volunteer commencement.
