Support Northern Saskatchewan Fire Evacuees
Help bring family fun and community connections for over 3,000 displaced evacuees in Saskatoon
Wildfires have forced over 3,000 residents from northern Saskatchewan to evacuate their homes and seek safety in Saskatoon. These individuals and families—many of them children—are facing uncertainty, stress, and disruption. You can help.
United Way Saskatoon and Area is responding by doing what we do best: meeting immediate community needs while also fostering connection, dignity, and hope.
We are raising funds to provide evacuees with access to local entertainment and recreational activities that offer relief, joy, and a sense of belonging during this difficult time.
Your Donation Will Help Provide:
- Tickets to community events like Saskatoon Berries baseball and Rattlers basketball games
- Movie outings for families to relax and reconnect
- Interactive learning and play at Wonderhub
- Visits to the Saskatoon Zoo for nature and exploration
- Rides and recreation at Kinsmen Park
- Transportation to ensure equitable access for all
These experiences are more than just entertainment—they are opportunities for healing, inclusion, and community connection.
Why It Matters
At United Way, we believe in building safe, strong communities where everyone has the opportunity to be their best. This initiative reflects our commitment to:
- Meeting urgent needs with compassion and care
- Creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome
- Mobilizing local resources to support those most impacted
How You Can Help
Every contribution – big or small – makes a difference. Whether it’s $10 for a movie ticket or $100 to sponsor a family outing, your support helps create meaningful moments for evacuees who need them most. 100% of the funds are going directly to support evacuees and funds will be distributed weekly.
THIS FUND IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU TO THE MANY DONORS AND VOLUNTEERS WHO MADE AN IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF THOSE IMPACTED BY THE WILDFIRES.
Together, we are the unifying force that makes social change possible.
