Position Summary and Responsibilities:
2026 Summer Student Coordinator
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Term: May 4th to August 21st 2026
Full time: 35 hrs. per week
Payment: $21.65/hour
Department: Community Impact
United Way Saskatoon & Area is looking for a driven, organized, community minded Summer Student to help bring our Summer Success literacy program to life. If you love details, people, and making a real impact in the community.
You’ll be part of the Community Impact team, taking charge of key pieces of Summer Success and supporting other projects along the way.
Key Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
- Prep and organize all aspects of the Summer Success program.
- Coordinate teachers, volunteers, excursions, and materials.
- Collect and analyze program data; help with reports.
- Provide admin support: phones, scheduling, data entry, minutes.
- Assisting United Way’s strategic priority, helping leadership team by providing
- Administrative and logistic support to stakeholder engagement activities
Qualifications:
Experience/Position Requirements:
- Current post‑secondary student (or recent grad).
- Experience in human services or community engagement.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Saskatoon and commitment to helping the community.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Entrepreneurial, adaptability and innovative mindset.
Working Environment:
- Office set up – utilizing Windows Operating system, MS Office.
- Attends meetings /events within 50km of Saskatoon. Must have access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Flexible schedule with the likelihood of some early morning, evening and weekend work.
