Join United Way of Saskatoon and Area for this year’s Women Leading the Way event. This year’s event will be a free virtual format moderated by Dr. Debra Pozega Osburn, Vice President of University Relations for the University of Saskatchewan.
The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us to keep each other safe through physical distancing, but it has also reminded us how important our connections to each other—and our communities—really are.
Keynote panelists, Allyse Cruise, Deandra Bailey, and Andrea Howe will explore the importance of connection and community from different sectors amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and share their stories about the relationships they are building in our community to stay #UnitedApart.
Allyse Cruise is a recent graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Law. Prior to entering law school, she worked as a degreed engineer, primarily in the mining and water sector industries. She enjoys travelling with her friends and repeatedly beating her roommate, Courtenay Caitlin, at crib!
Andrea Howe is the Associate Director of Labour Partnership and Interim Director for Community Impact at United Way of Saskatoon and Area. Andrea’s current work involves connecting community organizations and with resources to help vulnerable individuals in our community during the pandemic.
Deandra Bailey is the Chief Brand Officer for Lucky Bastard Distillers, a Saskatoon-based distillery that handcrafts the finest spirits and liqueurs using local Saskatchewan grains and fruit. As the first official employee at Lucky Bastard, she was instrumental in laying the groundwork for LB’s company culture and guiding principles.
