| Benefits to Volunteer | Cheshire Homes of Saskatoon is looking for individuals who may be interested in joining our volunteer Board of Directors. Our non-profit organization has the mission to provide adults living with physical disabilities an accessible, comfortable home that offers personal support services and fosters an environment of independence. A total of 27 individuals with physical disabilities live in the four buildings at our location on Louise St. in the Eastview neighbourhood. We provide 24 hour attendant care and other services. The newest building opened in 2011 and offers 8 life lease suites. We are currently engaged in a pilot project with the Saskatchewan Health Authority intended to address the need for affordable, accessible accommodation for individuals who require attendant care services. We have a history in Saskatoon of over 50 years and our roots are with an international organization founded in the United Kingdom by Leonard Cheshire following the Second World War.
