Position Title SLYP-Out Program Volunteer (SaskAbilities)
Job Description

SaskAbilities welcomes you to join us as a volunteer in our SLYP-Out Program!

SLYP-Out provides youth experiencing disability the opportunity to gain new experiences, make new friends, learn new skills, and enjoy safe and accessible activities during the school year! Volunteers play an important role in fostering inclusion, confidence, and life skills through joyful shared experiences.

Working with our SLYP-Out Coordinators, volunteer responsibilities include:
• Assisting participants with leisure and recreation activities
• Promoting safety and encouraging independence
• Supporting a positive, social, and engaging group environment
• Helping with setup and cleanup as needed

Program Hours:

SLYP-Out runs on Thursday and Friday Evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm (October to April). We are closed on all STAT holidays.

Time Commitment:

Flexible scheduling with no minimum hours required. Volunteers are welcome to join sessions that fit their availability.

Important Notes:
• Transportation is the responsibility of the volunteer.
• You will receive an Orientation in advance of volunteering!
• You will be provided paperwork to review, complete and submit in advance of your orientation and volunteer commencement.
